Overview

What it is

The Heetu K-Pack TPI (Tilted Plate Interceptor) and CPI (Corrugated Plate Interceptor) separators pack a large coalescing surface into a compact vessel. Closely spaced inclined plates give oil droplets a very short distance to travel before they coalesce and rise, so separation happens faster and in far less space.

Removable plate packs in polypropylene or stainless steel 316 make maintenance straightforward and let the unit be tuned to aggressive or high-temperature streams.

Working principle

How it works

Flow enters the plate pack

Wastewater is distributed evenly across inclined coalescing plates under laminar conditions.

Droplets coalesce

Small oil droplets collide and merge on the plate surfaces, growing large enough to separate quickly.

Oil rises and is skimmed

Enlarged droplets rise to the surface and are removed by skimming.

Solids drop out

Settled solids fall into hoppers beneath the plate pack while clarified water exits.
