What it is

Heetu K-Pack API Oil–Water Separators provide a proven, low-maintenance first stage of treatment for streams carrying free oil and heavy suspended solids. Designed to the American Petroleum Institute API 421 methodology, each unit is sized to give the calm residence time that gravity separation needs to work reliably.

The result is a rugged, gravity-driven separator that shrugs off variable oil loads and protects the downstream equipment that follows it — flotation, filtration or biological polishing — while helping you meet discharge and reuse targets.

Working principle

How it works

Calm inlet zone

Effluent enters a quiescent chamber sized for the API residence time, letting flow settle into laminar conditions.

Oil rises and is skimmed

Density differences drive free oil to the surface where it is continuously skimmed to a collection trough.

Solids settle out

Heavier settleable solids drop into dedicated sludge hoppers for periodic removal.

Clarified water exits

Treated water passes beneath baffles and leaves the unit ready for discharge or further polishing.
