Overview

What it is

Heetu K-Pack Lamella Settlers use closely spaced inclined plates so that solids only have to settle a short distance before sliding down into a sludge hopper. This dramatically increases effective settling area, letting a compact unit do the work of a much larger conventional clarifier.

With plates angled at 55–60 degrees in polypropylene or stainless steel, and vessels in SS 304/316, FRP or MS, lamella clarifiers are ideal for expansions and space-constrained sites that need high-rate clarification.

Working principle

How it works

Upflow between plates

Pre-treated water flows upward between closely spaced inclined plates.

Solids settle on plates

Suspended solids land on the plate surfaces and slide downward.

Sludge collects below

Solids descend into a sludge hopper for periodic discharge.

Clarified water overflows

Treated water rises and exits via outlet weirs.
