Flotation & Clarification

Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Micro-bubble flotation that lifts oils, grease and suspended solids to the surface for easy removal — available as compact PWF and high-capacity PWL series from 5 to 500 m³/hr.

Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)
Overview

What it is

Heetu K-Pack Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems dissolve air into a recycled water stream under pressure, then release it as a cloud of microscopic bubbles. Those bubbles attach to chemically conditioned oil and solids, floating them to the surface where an automatic skimmer removes the sludge.

Offered in compact PWF and high-capacity PWL series with rectangular or circular tanks, our DAF units are workhorses for food, beverage, textile, paper and general industrial effluent — reliably reducing free and emulsified oils by 90–95%.

Features

Key features

  • Rectangular or circular tank configurations
  • Automatic sludge skimming
  • Micro-bubble air-saturation technology
  • PWF (compact) and PWL (high-capacity) series
  • Stainless steel or mild-steel construction
  • Treatment capacity from 5 to 500 m³/hr
Working principle

How it works

Chemical conditioning

Coagulant and flocculant are dosed to destabilise oils and bind fine solids into flocs.

Air saturation

A recycled stream is pressurised and saturated with air, then released into the flotation tank.

Micro-bubbles float contaminants

Microscopic bubbles attach to flocs and oil, carrying them to the surface.

Skim and clarify

Automatic skimmers collect the floated sludge while clarified water exits via weirs.
